Ingredients
- 1 cup (240mL) Whole Milk
- 2 packets or 4.5 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 tsp + 50g granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons (~85g) butter
- 4-1/2 cups (540g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 2 inches oil for frying
- 3 cups (360g) powdered sugar
- 6 Tbsp (90mL) milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

- Warm milk to 105 to 110 Fahrenheit to avoid killing the yeast.
- Knead the dough until it is tacky and smooth, passing the windowpane test.
- Let the dough rise for about an hour in a cozy warm place.
- Roll the dough to about 3/4 of an inch thick before cutting.
- Fry the donuts in 350-degree oil until golden brown on both sides.
